 The Salpointe Catholic Lancers will look to defend their home field  on Monday against the Flagstaff Eagles at 6:00  p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 Flagstaff is hoping to do  on Monday what Walden Grove couldn't  on Saturday: put an end to Salpointe Catholic's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Salpointe Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  victory over Walden Grove.
  Shawn Barros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side, Salpointe Catholic's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Lucas Shannon, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Flagstaff, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They had just enough and edged Poston Butte out  5-4.
 The team  relied heavily on  Luke Hewes, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jake Carpenter, who  went 2-for-5 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 Salpointe Catholic has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record  this season. As for Flagstaff, their victory was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 22-6.
 Monday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Salpointe Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Flagstaff struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .351. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
