Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Takes a Loss

Maroa-Forsyth lost against Mt. Zion back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves.

While Maroa-Forsyth was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Zion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Catelyn Crafton, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs Crafton has posted since back in September. Addy Rotz was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Maroa-Forsyth has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-12 record this season. As for Mt. Zion, they pushed their record up to 19-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Maroa-Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Warrensburg-Latham on the 28th. As for Mt. Zion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Civic Memorial on the 28th.
