Softball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Trojans vs. Oak Hill Rams

The Sacred Heart Trojans will challenge the Oak Hill Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sacred Heart is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Oakdale just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 15th.

Maci Droddy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Marksville on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Rams have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Oak Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylee Cedus, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Sacred Heart took their win against Oak Hill in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 22-1 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
