Basketball Game Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Paris Wildcats

The Ranchview Wolves and the Paris Wildcats will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paris took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ranchview, who comes in off a win.

Ranchview will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Van Alstyne, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Ranchview slipped by Van Alstyne 50-49 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Paris entered their game against Anna last Sunday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Paris took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anna. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Coyotes are ranked 599th).

Paris' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Ranchview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Ranchview suffered a grim 66-45 defeat to Paris when the teams last played last Friday. Can Ranchview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
