Rocklin got themselves on the board against Davis Sr. on Wednesday, but Davis Sr. never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering the Thunder have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Payton Prior was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Rocklin let Katie Wetteland and Savannah Lorenzini run wild. Wetteland went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Lorenzini went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Abi Brown was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
