Volleyball Recap: Maloney Takes Down Conard in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Maloney rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Conard Red Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since April 25, 2024.

Wesley Colebrook paced Maloney's offense, picking up 36 kills. Colebrook got some help from Galo Cadena and his 55 assists. Colebrook was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Maloney, bringing their record up to 24-2. As for Conard, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-1.
