Basketball Recap: Fork Union Military Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 64 points the game before, Fork Union Military Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They were beaten by the Collegiate Cougars 75-25. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Leading Collegiate to victory were Owen Odom and Aidan Gregory. Odom went 7-for-9 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds, while Gregory went 7-for-12 to rack up 20 points and five boards. Odom has become a key player for Collegiate: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 6-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Xay Davis, who posted four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Fork Union Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Collegiate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Fork Union Military Academy has already played their next matchup, a 79-38 loss against Trinity Episcopal on the 14th. As for Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-60 defeat against St. Christopher's on the 14th.
