Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Foshay

Foshay extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Shomare' Gray. The Foshay Wolverines breezed by the Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers to the tune of 85-48 on Friday thanks in part to Gray, who posted 25 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Damari Jackson, who had 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rolando Montgomery, who earned 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayshad Lastrap, who scored 12 points.

Foshay's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Horace Mann UCLA Community, they moved to 9-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Horace Mann UCLA Community beat Foshay by a score of 63-45 on Monday.
