Softball Game Preview: Logansport Tigers vs. LaSalle Tigers

Logansport is 0-10 against LaSalle since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Logansport will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Montgomery, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Logansport blew past Montgomery 13-3 on Tuesday. Logansport might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, LaSalle came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 10-6.

LaSalle pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Logansport, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Logansport came up short against LaSalle in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 7-3. Can Logansport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
