Soccer Recap: Colonie Central Takes a Loss

Colonie Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-3 to the Columbia Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, Colonie Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Columbia are ranked 19th).

Lilly Palmer and Grace Bancheri scored all three of Colonie Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Colonie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Columbia, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2-1.

Colonie Central didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Broadalbin-Perth on the 22nd. As for Columbia, they will square off against Bethlehem Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
