Recap: Twiggs County Cobras vs. Hancock Central Bulldogs
The Twiggs County Cobras lost against the Hancock Central Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Twiggs County took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hancock Central. Twiggs County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Twiggs County saw an underclassman step up: Jaida Pearson scored 13 points along with three steals.
Hancock Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kym'Mora Lango, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliyah Hargrove, who scored 12 points.
Twiggs County's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Hancock Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.
Twiggs County will play host again and welcome Hawkinsville, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawkinsville is coming into the game with five straight losses on the road, meaning Twiggs County will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Hancock Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wilkinson County at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th.
