Softball Recap: Eastern Finds Home Field Redemption Against Springs Valley

There's no place like home for Eastern, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Springs Valley Blackhawks on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Musketeers in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won three in a row.

Bracie Jackson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Calloway, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Eastern's record is now 4-6. As for Springs Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Eastern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Clarksville on the 30th. Springs Valley has also already played their next match (against Mitchell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
