Lebanon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Benton Central Bison a 10-0 shutout.

Krryn Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Stofer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Avery Blount was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

On Benton Central's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariyah Rich, who went 1-for-1 with a stolen base.

Lebanon will head out on the road to square off against Guerin Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Benton Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rossville at 5:30 p.m. on April 1st.
