Soccer Game Preview: Pamlico Christian Academy vs. East Carteret

Pamlico Christian Academy will face off against East Carteret at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pamlico Christian Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pamlico Christian Academy lost 10-1 to Christ Covenant on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Pamlico Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Christ Covenant are ranked 151st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Carteret). Their defense stepped up to hand Jones a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. Joanna Perruquet was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for East Carteret and bumps their season record up to 3-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two contests. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1.
