The Piketon Redstreaks will head out to face off against the Adena Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Piketon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Piketon proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over McClain.

Saydi Childers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Heath, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Briar Penwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Adena was able to grind out a solid victory over Paint Valley on Wednesday, taking the game 11-6. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Adriana Guarnieri was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Marly Halcomb, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Adena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
