Softball Recap: Marshall County Comes Up Short

Marshall County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.86 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the McCracken County Mustangs. The Marshals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Marshall County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 30-6 record this season. As for McCracken County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 26-5.

Coming up, Marshall County is taking a road trip to take on Madisonville-North Hopkins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McCracken County, they will be playing at home against Hickman County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Falcons a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
