Baseball Recap: Central City/Centura Falls Short Against Ranked Adams Central

Central City/Centura faced Adams Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Kernels fell 5-2 to the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Kernels couldn't push the score so high this time.

Central City/Centura saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Gorecki, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central City/Centura fell to 17-1. As for Adams Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Central City/Centura and Adams Central will both be playing Twin River the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Kernels will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
