2010 notes: Katy came so close to a rare title three-peat in 2009, only to be denied at the door by an extremely talented Abilene team. Now the Tigers are back again - as always, highly ranked - with another shot at a title. Tigers fans got a glimpse of RB Young (128-662, 6 TDs) in the playoffs after returning from injury, but his skills will be on display starting Week 0 in 2010. DE Narcisse (30 tackles, 9 sacks, 3 PBU) also missed seven games during the season, and coach Joseph said his 2010 status is up in the air. DB Atwood (56 tackles, 7 INTs, 21 PBU) and LB Clifton (155 tackles, 5 sacks) were first-team all-district selections. WR Morris (25-452, 3 TDs) and RB Jeffries (96-457, 10 TDs), both three-year lettermen, along with QB Haack (53-89-479, 7 TDs) will help pace the offense. Even when you factor in the unknowns over RB Young and DE Narcisse, this team, ranked in the preseason top five, is a title favorite.
