Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of three wins, Plainfield East's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Plainfield North Tigers. If the Bengals were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Kyra Jordan paced Plainfield East's offense, picking up five kills. Jordan got some help from Alaina Nino and her 11 assists.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Plainfield North, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Plainfield East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Edwardsville on the 11th. As for Plainfield North, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Oswego on the 14th.
