Volleyball Recap: Elk River Falls Short Against Ranked Andover

Elk River faced Andover in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Elks fell 3-1 to the Huskies.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Andover scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.

Elk River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Andover, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Coincidentally, Elk River and Andover will both be playing Maple Grove the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Crimson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Elks will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
