Volleyball Game Preview: Elk Grove Grenadiers vs. Rolling Meadows Mustangs

Elk Grove and Rolling Meadows are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Grenadiers will square off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Elk Grove is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Elk Grove came up short against Prospect and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows came into Saturday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Leyden 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since May 9, 2024.

Elk Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-24. As for Rolling Meadows, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Elk Grove couldn't quite get it done against Rolling Meadows in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Grenadiers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
