Soccer Recap: Zane Trace Takes a Loss

Zane Trace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westfall Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Zane Trace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while Westfall are ranked 206th).

Zane Trace's goal came courtesy of Gabi Mathis, who's now up to three this season.

Zane Trace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Westfall, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Zane Trace didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Piketon on the 23rd. As for Westfall, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Madison Plains on the 23rd.
