Football Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. Owen Warhorses + Official Tickets

Hendersonville is a perfect 4-0 against Owen since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bearcats will head out to square off against the Warhorses at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Hendersonville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Hendersonville against Madison as the squad secured a 56-3 victory. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Patriots are ranked 327th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Hendersonville's win came down to the chemistry between JaRon Ward and his top target Amir Albany. Ward threw for 213 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes while Albany picked up 157 receiving yards and four scores. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Albany a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Buford, who rushed for 52 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Owen played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Mitchell and fell 40-7. The Warhorses were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Hendersonville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Owen, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Everything went Hendersonville's way against Owen in their previous meeting back in September of 2018, as Hendersonville made off with a 49-28 win. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Warhorses have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
