Soccer Recap: Northwest Rankin Comes Up Short

Northwest Rankin and Madison Central squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northwest Rankin had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Madison Central Jaguars who were credited with the win. The Madison Central Jaguars got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to the Northwest Rankin Cougars' zero. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in December of 2024.

Northwest Rankin's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Madison Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
