Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford entered their game against Shepherd Hill Regional on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates fell 6-1 to the Rams.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Oxford will venture away from home to take on Bartlett at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, they will challenge Marlborough at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
