Softball Recap: Northside Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Northside can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Opelousas Tigers with a sharp 24-18 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Opelousas, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Northside will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Washington-Marion at 5:00 p.m. The Charging Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.29 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Opelousas, they are taking a road trip to take on Avoyelles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
