Football Game Preview: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers vs. Canisius Crusaders

Bishop Timon-St. Jude hasn't had much luck against Canisius recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tigers will face off against the Crusaders at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Two weeks ago, Bishop Timon-St. Jude made easy work of Varsity Opponent and carried off a 33-10 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Timon-St. Jude to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Fulgham, who picked up 112 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another signal caller making a difference was Marquis Harris, who threw for 167 yards and four TDs.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Canisius, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 win over St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute on Saturday. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude better keep an eye on Elijah Kimble. He was instrumental in Canisius' win, rushing for 254 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Kimble really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run. Noah Harrison also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Canisius, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude took a serious blow against Canisius in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 37-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kimble, who rushed for 323 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry.
