After losing to Berks Catholic the last time they met, Schuylkill Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Saints on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Saints on their field since April 12, 2022.

Schuylkill Valley's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Gilmer, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Gilmer a new career-high in RBI (two). Dimitrios Aletras also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Schuylkill Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Berks Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Looking ahead, Schuylkill Valley will face off against Pottsville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berks Catholic, they will square off against Hamburg at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
