Softball Recap: Green Comes Up Short

Green was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Huntington Huntsmen, falling 19-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 13-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Green's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Huntington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Green Bobcats take on Clay Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clay's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Green's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Huntington, they will face off against Amanda-Clearcreek at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
