Soccer Recap: Joliet Central Takes a Loss

Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Romeoville Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Joliet Central of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Ari Arciniega, who's now up to two this season.

Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Romeoville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Joliet Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Shepard on the 5th. As for Romeoville, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Plainfield Central on the 5th.
