Volleyball Recap: Madonna Blue Dons vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

The Blue Dons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Monday.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 25-14.

Madison Owens paced Madonna's offense, picking up five kills. Owens got some help from Sophie Brady and her 13 assists. Hannah Dalfol controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Trinity Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lainey Jackson out in front who had 12 digs. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last seven games she's played.

Madonna moved to 13-12-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Trinity Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 32-12-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Trinity Christian beat Madonna by a score of 3-1 later that day.
