After a string of four wins, Plainfield South's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lincoln-Way West Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Domonic Krejci paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up 14 kills. Krejci got some help from Alexander Venes and his 28 assists. Finally, Papaa Adansi-Ofori kept Plainfield South's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Lincoln-Way West, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Coincidentally, Plainfield South and Lincoln-Way West will both be playing Neuqua Valley the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
