Basketball Recap: Northwest's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Northwest won the last time they faced Harrison and things went their way on Friday too. The Northwest Knights walked away with a 47-38 win over the Harrison Wildcats. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Wildcats are ranked 589th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Harrison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Clermont at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harrison, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Harrison Wildcats duke it out with the Colerain Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
