Baseball Recap: Papillion-LaVista South Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Papillion-LaVista South can now relate to. They fell just short of the Elkhorn South Storm by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost three in a row.

Papillion-LaVista South got a good showing from Jackson Willer, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Willer has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Papillion-LaVista South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brycen Botos, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Papillion-LaVista South's loss dropped their record down to 25-10. As for Elkhorn South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
