Normal Community has gone 9-1 against Danville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ironmen will take on the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Danville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Normal Community, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Normal Community made easy work of Bartlett and carried off a 7-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ironmen.

Beckett Weber looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Naour, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Drew Stevens also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 8-0 to Salt Fork.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Normal Community, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Normal Community took their win against Danville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ironmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
