Soccer Game Preview: Diboll vs. Palestine

Diboll hasn't had much luck against Palestine recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Diboll Lumberjacks will be playing at home against the Palestine Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Diboll got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Diboll who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Diboll got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Westwood's four.

Diboll will be up against a hot Palestine squad: the team just extended their winning streak to seven. Palestine's defense stepped up to hand Westwood a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by five goals or more so far this season.

Palestine pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Diboll, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Diboll suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Palestine in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Diboll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
