Basketball Recap: East Mecklenburg Has No Trouble Against Parkwood

East Mecklenburg picked up another tournament win on Monday. They strolled past the Parkwood Wolf Pack with points to spare, taking the game 51-37.

Mackenna Weisner had a dynamite game for East Mecklenburg, going 8 of 18 on her way to 30 points. The dominant performance gave Weisner a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Stallings, who posted three points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

East Mecklenburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

East Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Parkwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

East Mecklenburg will look to defend their home court on Friday against Butler at 6:00 p.m. Butler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.2 points per game this season. As for Parkwood, they will head out to square off against West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
