Volleyball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Takes a Loss

Abingdon/Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars. If the Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21.

Abingdon/Avon's offense was headlined by Camdyn Hull and Charly Cox, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Vivian Bigger and her ten assists.

Abingdon/Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-23. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Abingdon/Avon has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Princeville on the 15th. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Annawan on the 15th.
