Basketball Recap: Massena Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Massena kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Oswego Bucs, falling 83-55. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bucs from their previous meeting back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Massena lost, don't look at Christopher Boyea. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alexander Tarbell, who posted 15 points and eight boards.

Massena has already played their next contest, a 72-45 loss against Aquinas Institute on the 6th. As for Oswego, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Corcoran at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th.
