There's no place like home for Shawnee Mission East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Lawrence Lions get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Shawnee Mission East pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lawrence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
