Elgin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pleasant, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Comets blew past the Spartans 7-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

With the win, Elgin broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-7. As for Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Elgin has already played their next match (against Centerburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pleasant, they will face off against Marion Harding at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are facing the Presidents at the right time seeing as the Presidents are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
