The Cavemen/Cavegirls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rockets on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cavemen/Cavegirls in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won six in a row.

Carlsbad's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Goddard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
