Football Recap: Wicomico Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Wicomico has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Easton Warriors on Thursday. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brady Walls was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.2% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Walls' aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Carter Mooney.

Wicomico's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Easton, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wicomico will welcome Bennett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Easton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambridge-South Dorchester at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
