Basketball Recap: Goreville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Christopher on Friday, Goreville came back down to earth. The Goreville Blackcats took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nashville Hornets on Saturday.

Goreville's loss dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Nashville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Goreville will welcome Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nashville, they will venture away from home to square off against Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Benton will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Nashville surely won't give up without a fight.
