After losing to Cairo-Durham the last time they met, Catskill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cats put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 8-1 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cats.

Demetrio Morales tossed a big game, striking out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Will Cummings and Kayden Dolan did most of the damage at the plate: Cummings went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI, while Dolan scored a run while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin June, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Catskill's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cairo-Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Catskill will take on rival Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cairo-Durham is set to square off against their familiar foe Taconic Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
