Malcom Smith, Jr. Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Thursday, SEED got the W thanks in part to Malcom Smith, Jr. playing the best football he has all season. Smith, Jr. rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns.

The win (which was SEED's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Smith, Jr. and SEED will square off against KIPP College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Saint James Gets a Boost from Yates in 37-34 Victory

Jayden Yates put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Saturday. He rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 109 yards on nine of 20 attempts. He also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Saint James): his a 53-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

If history really does repeat itself, Yates might just drop another big game when he faces off against Potomac School on Saturday. When Yates last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 277 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per carry.
