Baseball Game Preview: New Washington Mustangs vs. Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers

New Washington is 1-7 against Shawe Memorial since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Christian Academy hit New Washington with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs lost 15-7 to the Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly eight runs.

Meanwhile, Shawe Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Southwestern, falling 13-0.

This is the second loss in a row for New Washington and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Shawe Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
