Recap: Northern Burlington Greyhounds vs. Seneca Golden Eagles
The Northern Burlington Greyhounds''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Seneca, falling 41-14. Northern Burlington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Seneca found their leader in underclassman Anthony Tirico, who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Seneca's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Kyle Stickel and his two sacks.
Northern Burlington now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Seneca, the victory was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Northern Burlington will head out on the road to face off against Millville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Millville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Seneca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Allentown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Allentown is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
