Volleyball Game Preview: Northeastern Eagles vs. Currituck County Knights

Northeastern hasn't had much luck against Currituck County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Northeastern made easy work of Pasquotank County and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Northeastern's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Currituck County narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past First Flight 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Currituck County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-10.

Currituck County's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Northeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
