Volleyball Recap: Citronelle Takes a Loss

Citronelle and Faith Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Citronelle had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Faith Academy found their leader in sophomore Kyleigh Grosz, who had eight digs and six aces. With that strong performance, Grosz is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Citronelle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Faith Academy, they pushed their record up to 32-11 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Citronelle will face off against Briarwood Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Faith Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
